Sign up individually for some of our most popular shared trips. All our Hilton Head dolphin eco tours and several of our specialty tours are available as a shared trip.

Advantages of a Live Oac shared trip:

First Class vs. Coach: Which is more comfortable? Despite competitive pressure to fill boats to the brim, we still limit our shared trips to a maximum of 6 guests per boat. You can expect a very personalized interactive experience with your guide, and a comfortable space on board. Don’t get crammed like sardines on a 15 passenger boat filled with 15 people. Our deck boats are 10 passenger designs and we carry 6 guests plus the captain.

Experienced professional guides. Our captains are career oriented adventure professionals, not summer interns. We’re passionate about what we do and love to share that enthusiasm and experience with our guests.

Our location is second to none, being across the creek from Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge means we need not travel far to offer you an excellent look at the lowcountry. We’re one of the few who offer as short as a 1 hour trip because we have so much to see within a short range.

Inshore

Inshore

Inshore trips take place in waters between Hilton Head and the mainland and NOT out in the ocean.

Inshore waters include the tidal creeks, rivers, and sounds (“bays”).

On an inshore trip, we stay well within sight of land, and motion sickness is not typically an issue. We generally do NOT recommend taking anything for motion sickness unless you’ve previously had an issue on water while next to land (which is almost no one, but there are exceptions).

Be aware that even on calm water days, we still encounter bumps in the form of boat wakes (waves that boats create). Boating is an inherently dangerous activity and not suitable for someone with medical conditions that could be negatively affected by a bumpy ride.

Live Oac’s Shared Trips:

2 hours — A more in depth exploration of the Wildlife Refuge and dolphin sightseeing cruise, with plenty of time to explore.
1½ hours — A value oriented trip that provides a nice balance of exploration and duration. While our 2 hour trip is the most popular, this offers an alternative that fits some groups best.
1 hours — Our shortest, easiest dolphin tour, perfect for families with younger children. Recommended as a “best option” for ages 3 and under.
3+ hours — Solo angler looking to share a fishing charter in Hilton Head? Give us a call and we’ll match you up with another group.
2½ hours — A broad adventure through the Lowcountry which includes dolphin watching and more!
1½ hours — A dolphin eco tour with a focus on photography.
