Grand Tour of Islands™ Eco Tour

A broad exploration of waterways and islands between Hilton Head and the mainland. This 2½ hour sightseeing experience (including a break on land) covers more than twice the area of our top-rated 2hr Dolphin Wildlife Tour. While it’s a brisk pace on the water, it’s the slow pace and charm of the Lowcountry that’s the real focus. We’ll see dolphins and other wildlife along the way. Our path varies with tides but tends to include most of the spots highlighted here.
  •   2½ HOURS
    Duration can be extended upon request, for example to allow for a lunch stop on Daufuskie Island. Please contact us for custom reservations of this type.
  •   ALL AGES (4+ RECO)
    This trip is available for All Ages of participants. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For children 3 and under, we strongly recommend our abbreviated 1 hour eco tour, called the Out & Back™ Dolphin Tour. In our experience, 1 hour is plenty of time to get out and see dolphin and best matches the attention span of our youngest guests. However, you know your children better than we do, so if you think they’re fine for a 90 minute or 2 hour trip, you are welcome to make that choice.
  •   BACKCOUNTRY
    The Backcountry includes the inshore waterways like tidal creeks, marshes, rivers & sounds. These are typically calmer water excursions, where you don't have to worry about your "sea legs". Crossing the Hilton Head Bridge from the mainland gives a great view of some of the backcountry waters we explore.
  •   MAR‑NOV
    This trip is offered throughout most of the year, approx. March thru November. During the heat of the summer, we can do a customized private trip to include some tubing or other activities to "cool off" in the water. During the colder parts of the year, it's a bit chilly for extending crusing like this, so we recommend something like our shorter 1½ hour Dolphin Adventure™ Tour as a better option. For that unseasonably warm day in winter, we can schedule this trip on request.
